What’s the likelihood of a lawyer with morals? What about a lawyer with a brain aneurysm? One with both? However unlikely, Eli Stone (Jonny Lee Miller), from San Francisco, is both. Eli has visions of all sorts, due to a brain aneurysm. These visions lead Eli to interesting people who are in need of his expertise in legal situations. The more people he helps, the more he learns about himself.
Eli has built up a successful career with the top law firm in San Francisco, a firm where “screwing over the little guy” is common. But after Eli gets hallucinations in the form of a singing George Michael, Eli goes to his neurologist brother, Nathan (Matt Letsher). After getting an MRI Eli is told that there is nothing wrong with him. After seeing his brother a number of times, and realizing that something indeed must be wrong, Nathan consults another doctor and learns that his brother has an inoperable brain aneurysm.
