My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way has been a comic fan for as long as he can remember. Doom Patrol was a favorite when he was a teenager, inspiring his first ambition in life—to be a comic book author. Who'd have ever thought he'd become a rock star instead! With the rock world all but conquered, there was one thing left for him to do—create his very own comic adventure!
Umbrella Academy centers around a group of super-powered children who are adopted by a space alien. He makes for a very poor
father, leading the kids on a path to hating each other and him. When the alien dies, the kids
reunite after years of estrangement, attracting the attention of some old foes—possibly bringing on the apocalypse.

Cody Linley stars in R.L. Stine's spooky Haunting Hour just in time for Halloween. The movie follows Cassie (Emily Osment), a 13 year-old Goth girl struggling to adapt to
a new neighborhood and a new school.
Feeling like an outsider, Cassie
acts out by playing outrageous pranks to frighten the
popular kids at school, as well as her little brother, Max
(Alex Winzenread).
The day before Halloween, Cassie finds a
book called The Evil Thing that cautions readers "Do Not Read
Aloud". When Max insists on hearing the story, Cassie starts down a
road that begins in the mysterious woods behind their house, leading
to a mysterious stranger who changes their lives forever.
Haunting Hour is great when it comes to bringing about a certain "chill" in the air with its monstrous frights, but what are some things that make Cody jump, cringe or scream?

ACED Magazine was recently invited to a special Sci Fi event, where we visited the sets of various television shows—Stargate Atlantis, BattleStar Galactica, Flash Gordon—and of course, Eureka! While there, we took part in a series of cast interviews.
Eureka's quirky bunch is first up in our four-part feature run. The cast in attendance included Colin Ferguson as the dumb, but street-smart and lovable, U.S. Marshal Jack Carter; Erica Cerra as the tom-boy-ish chick with an attitude - and a gun, deputy Josefina (Jo) LupoNeil; Grayston as the nerdy, and sometimes oh-so-sexy house voice, Douglas Fargo; Joe Morton as the vengeful, scientific genius that always saves the day, Henry Deacon; Ed Quinn as the cocky, too smart-for-his-own-good, Nathan Stark; and Salli Richardson as the down-to-earth, level-headed, fearless leader, Allison Blake.

Soular, the quartet from Albuquerque, New Mexico, is gaining much
popularity within the same genre as The Fray, U2 and Zero Seven. Not
only are they good enough to be likened to their inspirations, but
they're proving to be a very hard-working lot.
Since they officially
began as a band in 2002, it seems that there hasn't been a time that
they haven't been out on the road. With a new album, an abundance of
press coverage, and some invaluable opportunities to play with other
esteemed artists of the moment, they are finally starting to reap the
benefits of all this hard work.

Daniel Radcliffe has been well known for his role in the popular magical series, Harry Potter, as well as the recently acclaimed West End play, Equus. Now he takes on yet another orphaned character in the forthcoming drama, December Boys.
With the movie only weeks away, it is time to start the first round of Q&As with Mr. Radcliffe about the film. I first talked to him about the production exclusively last July. In this Q&A he talks to us about the story behind December Boys, why he chose this film, the cast and crew, the strangeness of romantic scenes, the differences with high and low budget movie-making, and much more!
