Image We were on our way to the annual All African Student Convention, held every year in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Students from all over Africa participate in this exciting event, which lasts for five days. There are many events to choose from! There is music, sports, chess or dancing. My school really looked forward to participating every year, and that year 2003, was no exception.

Since we lived in Worcester, my school group planned to arrive the day before, and then sleep over at my uncle"s game farm. There were wild cheetahs and lions roaming about, so my uncle made it clear that we were not allowed to leave the house without permission, and not to touch anything that might be dangerous.

Image With a major production of Equus being staged in London"s West End for the first time since the seventies, this interpretation of the play is intended for those who may not have sufficient background knowledge in classical mythology and Christian religion to pick up on some elements in Peter Shaffer"s work. It is intended for those who already know the story, and indeed it presupposes that the reader has prior knowledge of the plot.

...Samson Hadley’s calloused palms graze the inside of Olivia Cahlwell’s hand before intertwining their fingers. Sam uses the light bulbs decorated with Chinese paper lanterns from the party at the top of the hill as a guide. With giant steps he gingerly leads Olivia, who, still unsure about following him to the riverbed, is moving at a slower pace.
