Described as a cross between "The Velvet Underground and European techno," The Delta Fiasco is quite well known in their hometown of Liverpool, as one of the most intense live acts around. There's some good word of them spreading around, but do they really stack up to their newly budding reputation? This stuff is basically standard indie techno. High energy, dynamic, electronic-tinged -- not bad, but I expected more from a trio with the raving comments they had. The lyrics and rhythms get rather repetitive. Every song is catchy though, at least. It is an energetic mix, and I'm sure the live show is much better - perhaps even as much as some claim! But as an EP, I was not incredibly impressed. Good, but not mind-blowing. Certainly, we have hope -- there is potential for growth. Let's hope they continue to expand with the next album.
