Originally from Perth, Australia, Pendulum returns with their new album, In Silico, just in time for their U.K. tour. With a mix of drums and bass, Pendulum rocks the roof with their electronica sound. Producer Rob Swine lends his vocals to this ten-song collaboration that will have fans of the band ragin' to the rhythms and bumpin' to the beats.

Pendulum's music is an example of how technology continues to advance and incorporate itself into the aesthetic forum. Songs such as "Showdown", "Different" and "The Tempest" highlight In Silico, but, unfortunately, much of the rest of the album is marred in mediocrity. There isn't much to this collection that stands out from many of the other artists involved in the various techno/electronica music scenes, but faithful fans of Pendulum might find themselves pleased with the band's latest musical effort nonetheless.

Final Analysis: If you're a fan Pendulum you'll probably be pleased with In Silico; otherwise, you may want to go dancing elsewhere.

Gem of the Album: The Tempest
