![]() Rated: PG-13 First there's recent MBA graduate and up-and-coming businesswoman, Rachel Jones (Golden Brooks). In her household, she's the one bringing in the "big bucks". But beyond the financial security, what Rachel really wants is her husband's full attention. Deacon Clarence (Darrin Dewitt Henson) doesn't realize that his dedication to the church is alienating him from his wife. Her requests for his attention go unnoticed; leaving the door wide open for someone else. In Rachel's desperate search for love, will she make a major mistake which could further ruin her marriage? Next, there's Charlene (Deborah Cox). Faithful wife and churchgoer, she devotes all of herself to her family. Her dedication and self denial go unnoticed though, when her husband begins to take out some of his personal issues on her. Charlene is forced to decide between remaining in a bad situation or getting out. With some unexpected news clouding her judgment, she must be careful about making the right decisions.Last there is Monica. Fun, flirty and sassy, Monica says what she wants and does the same. Her endless forays into love and relationships are unfruitful, and nothing or no one can change her mind...that is, until a long-time friend steps up to the plate. Jasper King, a store owner, expresses his desire for a closer relationship with Monica. But is Jasper all talk? Is he the Christian man he says he is, or is he just like every other guy she's encountered? With family trouble, relationship issues and church events on the horizons, will these three women have the strength to stand by their men through it all? Or will the search for a good man continue? With an all-star cast, A Good Man is Hard to Find offers a look into modern day relationship woes. Beyond the typical love em' and leave em' plot, this film focuses on the importance of marriage and spirituality. Overall, A Good Man is Hard to Find has a good message, but falls short in some places. The story doesn't seem as if it was completely developed. The audience is left with a lot of unanswered questions. Also, some of the church singing scenes are a bit much. That time could've effectively been used to wrap up some of the hanging story lines.
