![]() Rated: R DVD Features:
Critique: Packed with action and comical inhabitants, Doomsday entertains from beginning to end. Although the storyline itself is somewhat vague and stretched from reality, the characters are fun to watch. For example, I find it a little hard to believe the human populous would revert back to canabalism after only a few years stuck in Scotland...but, perhaps there is nothing like having a bit of your friend for dinner. Stretching aside, the fast-paced and explosive scenes are more than enough to keep your interest, as long as you don't delve into plot analysis too much. The features on the disc are an excellent addition to the release, although the unrated version didn't seem incredibly different from the actual theatrical release. Final Analysis: If you like action, explosions and dark, humorous characters that keep your interest peaked throughout an entire film, this will give you a good fix.
