The Electronic Arts studio DICE and DC Comics publisher WildStorm are teaming up to create Mirror's Edge, a limited-edition and exclusive six-part comic book series, based on the upcoming video game. Writer and story designer Rhianna Pratchett, who wrote the game's script, and artist Matthew Dow Smith, will work together to adapt the video game to comic book form.
With this prequel, comic book readers will be able to learn, frame by frame, about the character Faith and her Runners, as well as Faith's backstory and how it has shaped the city.
The video game, which offers a new take on the traditional first-person narrative, will be released this winter for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC. The first issue of the Mirror's Edge series was released at Comic-Con in San Diego.
