For years, MTV has sought to make politics appealing to its audience, especially during election years. As the 2008 elections are fast approaching, MTV is getting ready to follow along—or, rather, MTV is getting its audience ready to do that for them.
MTV has started a campaign to recruit one journalist, 18 years or older, from each state, plus Washington, DC, to become a part of their Choose or Lose team as a paid job.
If hired, journalists would be brought to NYC for orientation, and must live in the state they are covering from January to November 2008. The individual would be expected to have the time and ability to travel within their state, and file at least one story per week. Click here for more information on the program and here to sign up.
