Coheed and Cambria are putting on a benefit show for Alzheimer's Disease at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on October 19. The group has joined with the NY Chapter of The Alzheimer's Association. All proceeds will go to the organization—people can also donate online. Coheed and Cambria are releasing a new album on October 23 entitled No World For Tomorrow, and it's dedicated to the memory of Antonia Cristiano—aunt of vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez—who passed away last year due to Alzheimer's. No World For Tomorrow will be the band's fourth album. Lou-Ellen Barkan, President and CEO of the Alzheimer's Association's New York City Chapter put things into perspective. "It's so encouraging to know that a generation of young people are getting involved in the fight against Alzheimer's. By the year 2050, when Coheed and Cambria fans are in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, one in five New Yorkers will either have the disease or will be caring for someone who does. Our sincere thanks go out to Coheed and Cambria for generously sharing their talent, and supporting programs and services provided by the Alzheimer's Association New York City Chapter."Coheed and Cambria will be headlining a fall tour in North America starting Monday, October 29, in Toronto.
