This 2-disc DVD set brings you a
collection of hard-to-find and previously unreleased concert footage, spanning
more than 20 years of the Ramones" tumultuous career as one of punk rock"s
greatest bands.
From their earliest shows at
CBGB in New York, to packed stadiums in England, Germany,
Sweden, Spain, Finland,
Italy and Argentina, this
DVD is sure to create a stir of nostalgia among punk rock fans – both young and
old – as they listen to raucous renditions of the bands greatest songs.
On the first disc, we get to
see the very young band members bickering over the show’s lineup, and what songs
to play at their earliest performances at legendary clubs like CBGB and Max's Kansas City in the band's hometown, New York City.
Disc two kicks off with some
of the band’s European shows, also featuring some rare footage from
television performances, including the BBC's acclaimed live music show The Old Grey Whistle Test, as well as Top Of The Pops appearances from 1980 and
1995.
The double disc also features
three rare music videos – "It’s Not My Place in the 9 to 5 World", "The KKK Took
My Baby Away" and "Somebody Put Something In My Drink" – and some cheesy, but amusing
footage from the television show, Sha Na Na, which ran from 1977 to 1981. Fans
get an even closer look at the band members through additional, previously unreleased, interview
footage as well.
Since coming together in 1974,
the Ramones have earned their place in history as one of the most enduring and
memorable punk rock icons of all time, even earning a spot on Rolling Stones’
“50 Greatest Artists of All Time” list.
After more than 2,000 concerts, the
Ramones broke up in 1996. Sadly, there will never be a reunion, as Joey, Johnny
and Dee Dee all have passed away. Their music and stage presence endure in It’s Alive, to the delight of old fans,
and to a younger generation who are just now embracing the culture and music of
the Ramones.

"On The Road With The Ramones"
http://www.myspace.com/ontheroadwith theramones
This is a MUST-HAVE book for all Ramones fans. It's an inside look from the people who were actually there witnessing and experiencing all the extreme highs and lows of one of rock's greatest bands. The Ramones' music has influenced nearly every power pop, punk, alternative, and metal band. Monte A. Melnick served as The Ramones tour manager from their early New York club days at CBGB's in the '70s to their farewell gigs in 1996. Filled with memorabilia including photographs and interviews collected along the way, this is his view of life on the road with the band as "baby-sitter to psychiatrist, booking agent to travel agent, paymaster to van driver." It's such a fascinating read, you'll have a hard time putting it down. Buy it, read it, and then revisit their albums. You'll never look at the Ramones in the same light.

They gave 100 Flip camcorders to 100 college students around the country and told them to get inspired and surprise us with some video footage of their own design.
Different themes guided them, some were open-ended, others were scavenger hunts and others were questions only they could answer.

Historically, when a television series adds a baby or an adopted child, that show has jumped the shark and the end is nigh. This is not the case with season two of ABC Family’s hit teen/sci-fi drama Kyle XY: Revelations.
