Rated: PG-13 Starring: Robin Williams, Mandy Moore (II), John Krasinski, and Eric Christian Olsen Director: Ken Kwapis
Synopsis: Newly engaged, Ben Murphy (Krasinski) and Sadie Jones (Moore) can't wait to start their life together and live happily ever
after. The problem is that Sadie's family church is
run by Reverend Frank (Williams), who won't bless Ben and Sadie's
union until they pass his "foolproof" marriage-prep course.
Consisting of outrageous classes, outlandish homework assignments and
some invasion-of-privacy techniques, Reverend Frank's rigorous curriculum
puts Ben and Sadie's relationship to the test. Forget happily ever
after—do they even have what it takes to make it to the altar (well, does anyone for that matter)?
DVD Features:
Additional Scenes: Additional scenes with optional commentary by director Ken Kwapis
Featurette "Ask the Choir Boy"
Choir Boy answers on his late-night talk radio show.
Critique:
On the whole, most relationships have their good moments, and their really crappy ones. The point of Reverend Frank's tactics is to bring out the worst parts before they begin so those things can be recognized and dealt with before any "commitments" are made. If only life were that simple.
This film is a great chick flick, however, it is also every guy's worst nightmare. If you are a guy—you will only roll your eyes about 100 times....give or take a blink. If you are a girl, you will be "awing" and frothing, and saying to yourself, "That is exactly how I feel." But you, like Moore's character in this film, may need to do some further evaluation of your own behavior as well. Hah!
The additional features on the DVD are cute, along the same lines as the actual film itself. I'd say, anyone—and when I say "anyone" I mean girls—from the ages 12 and above will do well to grab a bunch of their girlfriends, throw on some PJs, pile a stack of lettuce or other health food in the center of the powwow for sustenance, and click play.

They gave 100 Flip camcorders to 100 college students around the country and told them to get inspired and surprise us with some video footage of their own design.
Different themes guided them, some were open-ended, others were scavenger hunts and others were questions only they could answer.
