Just one of the best rock and roll bands of all time, that's
Who! Universal Pictures and a Spitfire
Pictures present: Amazing
Journey: The Story Of The Who and Amazing Journey: Six Quick Ones.
This 2-Film DVD Box Set with Collector's
Booklet follows the incredible journey of the legendary rock band The Who. This is a must have for any fan of the band—you know who you are.
Amazing Journey: The
Story Of The Who follows four British men on a quest to become rock icons. The road traveled for Pete Townshend, Roger
Daltrey, Keith Moon and John Entwistle is one packed full of curves and turns. Their journey can be best described as a long and winding road.
The story unfolds around the illustrious careers and insightful
lives of each member in the group, like a record player turning out
each song in order. Each song is
symbolized as a new chapter in the lives of The Who.
Expect to see four, bushy-haired teenagers from London
playing their hearts out to the blues as a 60s pub cover band. Going from The Detours, to The High Numbers, to
The Who, watch these teens turn into rock pioneers.
It all started with "I Can't Explain", their
first hit single, which is ironic now because the British rock group goes down
in history as one of the best. Their
fame and success can definitely be explained now though, and their story will speak for
itself.
In this DVD set you will witness never-before-seen footage of the band, including
rare concert clips, and interviews
with all four original members; along with commentary from family and
friends. Special guests are also
included, giving their praise toward one of the best in the music biz—and they
are: Sting, U2's The Edge, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder and Oasis' Noel Gallagher
just to name a few.
On Amazing Journey:
Six Quick Ones, you will go behind the minds of each member in the group to see their
individual talents and genius characteristics. Pete Townshend smashes up his guitars on
stage —and he's the mastermind and key writer behind The Who. Roger Daltrey is the look and voice of the group, actually finding his true voice and real
identity for the band when Tommy came
out. Keith Moon deals his crazy and erratic drumming style, playing loud to
every verse rather than just the conventional back beat of the songs. John
Entwistle plays his bass guitar like no one ever had before, reinventing
himself and his instrument. This is what
makes the group so special and what makes The Who so revolutionary.
There is much, much more on each DVD, including tons of bonus
features, so don't miss your chance to own a piece of history! Total running time is nearly
four hours and comes in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound for your complete
listening pleasure. This is a complete masterpiece of rock history. The Who are amazing and have had one heck
of a long journey, check it out for yourself!

ACED Bloggers - Pop Culture Blog What the Flip? Daniel Sargeant - Tuesday, 06 January 2009 MTV has their own little campaign going on for college students right now.
They gave 100 Flip camcorders to 100 college students around the country and told them to get inspired and surprise us with some video footage of their own design.
Different themes guided them, some were open-ended, others were scavenger hunts and others were questions only they could answer.
