Neil Simon's The Odd Couple is back and better than ever with Season Three on DVD. This 4-disc DVD set includes all 23 hilarious episodes. The digitally-remastered ensemble runs for 9 hours, 56 minutes, and is said to be one of the funniest shows in television history.
Comic legends, Tony Randall and Jack Klugman, are the two main characters that make up the greatness in The Odd Couple. Tony Randall plays the character of Felix Unger and Jack Klugman plays Oscar Madison on the show.
Felix is the obsessively clean and tidy character with an over-dramatic personality meshed perfectly with the slobbish, get-out-of-my face attitude of Oscar. Randall and Klugman epitomize the true meaning behind "the odd couple" and their on-screen chemistry is nothing short of brilliant and timeless.
Unfortunately, Tony Randall passed away on May 17, 2004, but his legend lives on. Jack Klugman represents the other half of the The Odd Couple that still lives on to this day. Thankfully the show is relived again through this digitally-remastered DVD set. Tony Randall will be missed, but the sheer magic behind The Odd Couple will never be forgotten.
All you have to do is just insert the DVDs and push play—the rest is history. The history that these two talented actors made in just five short years back in the 70s is simply amazing. Bottom line, the laughs will keep coming and coming for over nine hours, and that is guaranteed. Whether young or old, people of all ages can enjoy this comedy and appreciate the genius behind it.
Final Analysis: The Odd Couple: The Third Season is an absolute success and quite possibly one of the funniest things you'll ever see. Check it out!
