Artist: Jon Foreman
Album:Fall & Winter: Winter Website:Official Site and MySpace
Born in October, Jon Foreman feels a sense of peace with the autumn season that has stayed with him since early childhood. Growing up in different states before settling down in San Diego during his high school years, autumn speaks to him.
When looking within himself for the reason, he says, "Perhaps this is because the fall reminds me of the sunset, the beautiful death of another day or another year. A chance to look back...to look out across the pacific and see gallons of beauty mixed with regret."
Jon is currently doing four EPs—one for every season. He started with Fall, then went on to Winter. The songs on the albums all somehow relate to the season, portraying what the season means to him.
Jon Foreman's new EP Fall & Winter: Winter is soft and poignant. His calm, warm voice floats in your mind as you listen to all of the songs. The richness of his voice captivates, and the realness of his lyrics bring the album full circle. His ability to attach the different pieces that make up the music into one fluid entity makes Fall & Winter: Winter worth listening to.
jon seems to be an old soul in these songs.
he shows great biblical scriptures as well as prayers in musical form that helps to connect us to the past.
i believe he is one of the few true and straight foward poets of our day. i really enjoy how he uses some of the traits of transendentalism.
its good to see christian musicians who sing about real **** instead of just saying "holy is your name" all the time. sure we need to worship, but there is more to that in music and that is what i like about jon etc.
Jon is an incredibly God gifted writer using his abilities to connect us to the truth and help move us along in this life. Switchfoot is an incredible band..."we we're meant to live for so much more, have we lost ourselves..."
I highly recommend this cd to anyone who even vaguely appreciates great songwriting and creative use of different musical styles. All in all,Jon foreman is a gifted song crafter...listen to Somebody's Baby and you will understand. Thank you for sharing your heart with us Jon. Its an honor for our ears to hold these tunes.

They gave 100 Flip camcorders to 100 college students around the country and told them to get inspired and surprise us with some video footage of their own design.
Different themes guided them, some were open-ended, others were scavenger hunts and others were questions only they could answer.
