The verdict is in -- Schoolyard Heroes is officially among the most vicious, feral, and relentless bands in Seattle. Possibly the world. With song titles like "Dude, Where's My Skin?", "Razorblade Kisses", and "All the Pretty Corpses", who would dare to disagree? Lyrics and instrumentals alike rage electrically throughout, demonstrating raw, undeniable musicianship -- with a twist of fierce intensity. The rhythms are strong and powerfully infectious, while lead singer Ryann Donnelly's sharp, demanding vocals are the ultimate metal jackpot. Presumably, Abominations walks on the darker side of life, mind, and musicality. The violent lack of restraint is refreshing, and beautifully presented. In its entirety, the collection renders itself completely, utterly, and hauntingly gorgeous. Deep, dramatic, savage, passionate -- think you can handle it?
