Following the success of her recent solo album, Who Killed Amanda Palmer, the renowned musician, known for her work in the Dresden Dolls, teams up with best-selling author Neil Gaiman to produce a stunning book of photographs and stories under the same title. The book, due in stores on June 7, has already sold thousands of copies through an internet pre-sale that has been widely publicized via Palmer's regularly updated Twitter page. It is the latest addition to the multimedia Who Killed Amanda Palmer Project. The book, properly titled Who Killed Amanda Palmer: A Collection of Photographic Evidence with Stories by Neil Gaiman, is composed of photographs by renowned blogger and photographer Kyle Cassidy, as well as contributions from Beth Hommel and Tegan Rain (of Tegan and Sarah). A series of fictional stories accompanies the photographs, written by Neil Gaiman. In a press release, Palmer says the book came about on accident, "a bizarre creative snowball gathering speed down a dark, lost highway." In recent tweets, she promises a quick reprint if the original 8,000 copies are sold by the end of the week. The books sells for $34.99.
